Here Within This Terminal (Poem)

By charline - Thursday, October 11, 2012

I don't know where this sudden-poet-when-bored-habit comes to life. Seriously, when at times I am in dire need of creative astuteness, it's always a point blank for me. But when I am just waiting for someone like in a coffee shop, in a terminal, and the list goes on (since I always have to wait for late people and that includes me haha), my brain cells start to jostle. Ironic as it may seem but I also cannot approve the fact that sometimes boredom  can stimulate the brain. The thought is just irreconcilable and yet, it applies to me. (weird).

At this very moment, while I am waiting inside the airport, I drafted this short poem (Honestly, I don't even consider this a poem :D.). It's more of a plain statement of my thoughts for now.

Since they have not yet arrived while I am writing this blog, I wish to continue. :D

So, last weekend, I celebrated my birthday. Never mind the age. I dont want to count numbers. haha. This year is full of blessings despite challenges and I am still thankful to God. The very reason why I love birthdays is when you get to receive gifts from people dear to you and they know exactly what you want.

Those who know me quite well would agree that there are only three things that can make me happy: books, food and written letters. Yes, it seems shallow but I think these three things give me utmost joy. (Not to mention that these people sure know what to give me.)
Ahuh, as soon as I received the books, I immediately put on the covers to make sure that they are well-handled. Im not the OC type but when it comes to my things, I am quite meticulous. Now, I'm starting to think that my blog post is going nowhere. haha. But seriously, I just have to make a post about these things and to just be grateful for the years that had passed and for the years to come. Cheers everyone!

P.S. The title is quoted from the song, Terminal by Rupert Holmes. I don't know why I suddenly thought of that one. :)
