Sumilon Island

The set of pictures would portray it all. Indeed, beach bumming is more fun in the Philippines. While plannig our Cebu trip, I was in search of a place where it is serene and we can just relax, away from the hustles of city life.

As I go through my last attempt searching for a nice beach resort, I came across Sumilon Bluewater Resort. I have heard of this island before. But it's only when I actually came here did I realize how beautiful it is.

How to Go to Sumilon Island

- We had to ride a bus all the way to Oslob, Cebu which took us about 3 hours. It was one hell of a ride. I mean it literally and figuratively.haha The driver and the conductor of the bus were kind of enough to tell us where the resort is located.

- After we alighted from the bus, a resort personnel approached us. We had to take a 15 minute boat ride since the island is on the middle part.

Voila. Here are the picturesque landscapes and majestic views that welcomed us. I was really awed. The island has white sands and although it is not as pure as Boracay, it is still very nice.

The beach resort was not that crowded. You can just sleep on the hammock while enjoying the perfect view and listen to the sounds of the waves.

Another thing that made me enjoy this island is that they have an infinity pool overlooking the mountains and the island. That's just exquisitely perfect.

Aside from the view, they also serve lunch and dinner buffet. The food was just very delicious.

For beach bummers out there, this is one place that you should definitely visit.
