Lullaby (Poem)

By charline - Tuesday, December 30, 2014

The other day, my friends and I went to visit our friend who recently entered the motherhood phase. It was scary to hold a baby but it's an inspiration for a poem. :)

Lullaby

In silence, you fall deep into slumber;
As the people who love you around gather.
Hush little one, you are blessed for life.
We will protect you from harm and strife.

Innocence and sweetness in your face we see;
A beautiful and bright boy you will soon be.
Sleep quietly as the world in still finally awaits;
This boy, smiling with the warmth he creates.

In this world where troubles just run deep,
Let our arms soothe and lull you to sleep.

Holding my friend's baby,
such a cutie and very fragile :)
