game of thrones books

Yes, I must admit. I always go crazy whenever I go inside a bookstore. Lol. I don't know where my overwhelming enthusiasm for books started. In fact, I hated reading especially when you get to read a super boring novel. That time I was reading Robert Stevenson's Treasure Island which happened to be a compulsory book that we all had to read. But reading again that particular book in present time, I guess I'll find enjoyment to that.

Right now, my crazy addiction lies with George Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. His books got even more popular when HBO released the series, Game of Thrones, last quarter of 2011.

I really like this book since it allows me to widen my imaginations and take me to unusual places. Imagining the setting of the story, the richness of the plot and the complexity of characters, this book somehow relates as to how people operate within a political socio-economic framework.

I remember Karl Marx once said, " A person's social being determines his or her social consciousness." He is really right. Every person would act according to which class he or she belongs. In this book, I get to witness the interplay of powers and various political clashes among monarch leaders. Relating it to contemporary framework, the circumstances still apply. Indeed, Cersei Lanniester (a character in the book)had a veracious statement. Quoting from the book, " In the game of thrones, you win or you die."In this game of thrones called life, do you prefer to win or to lose?
